Safflower - Saffron Carthamus Tinctorius

Safflower, also known as Saffron Carthamus Tinctorius, is a stunningly vibrant flower that can brighten up any garden. Not only is it beautiful, but it also has various uses, including in cooking and dyeing fabrics.

Sun: Full sun.

Soil: Deep, fertile, well-drained, and neutral soils with a pH of 5–8. It can also grow in coarser soils if there's enough rainfall and moisture distribution. Safflower doesn't do well in shallow soils or soils that are prone to waterlogging.

Deadheading: To encourage the plant to continue blooming.

Spacing: Plants should be spaced 6–12 inches apart.
