Phlox - Sugar Stars

Phlox - Sugar Stars are exquisite blooms perfect for adding a touch of elegance to your garden. Their starry appearance and vibrant colors are sure to attract attention.

Sun: Full sun, but can tolerate some shade. Shading can reduce the number and quality of blooms, and increase the risk of disease.

Soil: Well-drained soil that retains some moisture. You can improve drainage by adding compost or peat moss. Clay soils retain moisture longer than sandy soils, so you may need to water more frequently in sandy soil.

Watering: Regular watering, especially in hot, dry weather. You can use a soaker hose or watering wand to water the root zone, which is about 6–12 inches from the base of the plant. Avoid overhead watering or watering at night, as this can lead to mildew.

Maintenance: Deadhead after it blooms to encourage more flowers later in the season.

Location: Avoid planting near trees and shrubs that compete for nutrients and moisture. Also avoid planting them near fences or walls where air circulation is poor.

Spacing: 10-16 inches apart
