Squash Burgess - Buttercup

Burgess Squash - Buttercup is a winter squash known for its sweet and creamy flesh. With a distinctive cup shape, it's perfect for baking or steaming, and brings a delightful sweetness to savory dishes.

Sun: Full sun.

Temperature: Warm to hot location.

Soil: Moist but well-drained, compost-rich, loamy soil, slightly acidic soil. 

Harvest: squash and zucchini can be harvested at any size.  

Recommendation: Use mulch to keep moisture, water regularly and evenly at the base not getting the leaves wet. make sure there is good airflow to reduce the chance of powdery mildew. can grow as ground cover or on a trellis. Remove bottom leaves as the plant grows to improve airflow and access to pollinators. Hand pollination will increase yield. 

Fertilizer: Balanced fertilizer like 4-4-4 amzn.to/4aZ6W9r starting 3 weeks after transplant. and as needed during the season.

Spacing: 18-24 inches apart if growing on a trellis or 24-48 inches apart for ground cover
